Inspired by a popular Korean banchan (side dish), this garlic spinach takes less than five minutes to make. It can be versatile: use it as part of a complete meal like Bibimbap or Gimbap or as a side dish for your main course. Use gluten-free Tamari sauce if you are following a gluten-free diet.

Ingredients for Garlic Spinach

  • Fresh spinach, about 250-300 gram
  • Garlic, minced 1/2 Tablespoon
  • Tamari sauce or gluten-free soy sauce, 2 Tablespoon
  • Sesame oil, 1 Tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds, 1 Tablespoon

Instructions for Garlic Spinach

1.Boil water and sprinkle sea salt. 

2.Put fresh spinach into the boiling water for 30 seconds.

3.Squeeze out water as much as possible from spinach. 

4.Mix it with minced garlic, soy sauce or gluten-free tamari sauce, sesame oil, and sesame seeds.
